SMU team awards

Post by HorsePower »

Just read the story on the home page, and I pretty much agree with the awards. Personally, I think Steve Reindl should have split the "best blocker" award with Sterling Harris, though. Reindl never got the attention he deserved.

Well I guess someone had to win the Offensive Lineman of the Year Award.

I can resist anything but "temptation". Man don't get my started on our o-line!!! When you have a six foot six, 300lb. lineman getting knocked into the backfield!!!

I know it's preferable to give season-ending awards to seniors. But am I nuts to think that maybe .... just maybe .... the Special Teams MVP award should have been split with Blake Warren?

I'm with Horsepower. Steve was this year's best lineman. Sterling always got the pub, but Steve was more consistent - this year, and especially in years prior. I think a lot of people can speed rush Sterling, but you almost never saw anybody get past Steve. :thumbupcool:
