Definitely worth setting your Tivo/DVR. Thanks for the heads-up.

Production quality wasn't the best. but, it didn't alter the fact that Jerry Levias (and his family for that matter) was just good folks. He spoke at an athletic banquet at my wife's school back in the 70's. it was a chico Esquala moment. But, it didn't matter. he still came through as a really good guy - regardless of his ability to play ball.

I had always considered that Coach Fry might have been more opportunist thatn activist. Thsi program seems to dispell that notion completely.

I knew Jerry (not really friends though) and he was a class act, worthy of making SMU proud. He got a lot of flack off of campus but on campus, he was a hero and rightly so.

He was at the Rice game last year (yes, THAT game), he's really awesome. I shook his hand and got a picture with him. I chased him up like 5 rows to get a picture

Dennis Partee and his son, Bryan, coach my kid in basketball. I told him that he was mentioned in the program. He got tickled when I mentioned that Levias lined up as if he was left-footed kicker on a fake. He recalled how crappy the other teams were to Levias, and how Levias handled himself with such dignity. I think he was at the ceremony for Levias awhile back, and I am trying to get him to drive up with me and Mustang1991 this fall to a couple of games.
