i predict this team will actually look like a football team on both sides of the ball. i think we will take c-usa west and meet southern miss for the title and squeak by them. then we will beat arkansas in the liberty bowl...phenomenal kool-aid

I think your prediction is way off. Get realistic. Arkansas gets no bowl next year.

No, Jones Juice.
I think Willis keeps the QB job and shows that he can have the discipline needed to be an effective C&D QB. He'll remain the face of SMU football next season, and easily break his own records from his Freshman year.
Look for Mini-Mapps to get big chunchs of yardage on the ground while Sanders works the outside with Al Robinson getting the most attention inside.
On the line, they'll be a work in progress next season, so the QB is going to have to have a super quick release or else get used to the view from the grass. The line will firm up by the end of the season and going into 2009 will be much more an asset than a liability.

I hope we average a lot more than 28, because that's what our average was last season.
Plus, we have to score really fast so that Banjo can get back on the field on D.

Absolutely! I want to see him knocking people around on offense like he did on special teams last year.

I'm stealing this from a much more authoritative source on college football than myself, but we will score at least 70 on Texas State. We may give up 40, but we will score at least 70 and Jones will be absolutely merciless about it.

Im glad that will be our first game because it will give jones a better chance to figure out who he should start and where.

Considering he's going to have to get rid of the ball in 1.5 seconds... How many yards downfield can the WRs get?
It's not going to be a question of throwing bombs, so the "Rocket Arm" isn't a requirement to run this offense. What IS required is zip and accuracy. I believe that Willis will have more of both than any of the Challengers this season.
But keep in mind that I haven't seen either of the Freshmen, so it's really just a guess. Either way though, remember Justin hitting recievers on those quick inside slants where timing was the key? I think he's shown he can do it. No that we have the coach for it, it's going to be popcorn time.
