Call him 'Bobby'...that's what really tees him off! He prefers to be called 'Bob'.

Indiana Student Alleges Harassment by Bobby Knight
Aired September 9, 2000 - 8:10 a.m. ET

MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Indiana basketball Coach Bob Knight is back in the hot seat with university officials. A 19-year-old freshman says Knight grabbed him and yelled obscenities at him on campus Thursday. Knight is denying the allegations. It seems the only thing they can agree on is that the incident began when the student called Knight by his last name only.

So he grabbed a player and called him a ">>>>>". What's the big deal. I'll bet 75% of those who ever played an organized sport got a cussing out from a coach. The question is whether you quit or double your efforts.

He did not grab a player. This was just a kid walking across campus that hollered somehting like "Hey Knight" and was then accosted. He is a really fine gentleman.

If you think that is ok I will be sure to never call you Stang.

Isn't it ironic that because Knight looks at the world as black or white, that we look at him as black or white. His detractors are just as intolerant of him as he is intolerant of some matters.

We got a lot out there who like to say there needs to be gray in the mix on everything.

Just an observation.
