Or Sampson for that matter. Friggin' cheater
Sir, shooting-star, sir.

Sampson is a [deleted] and a cheater. I'm mixed on how I feel about IU. I follow them in basketball. Started back when Bobby Knight was coach. They knew what they were getting, but I guess they figured he wouldn't go and do the EXACT same thing he had just gotten in trouble for.
I don't think Sampson will coach for a year or two after this works itself out. Too high risk, what with him being a liar, cheater and all-around [deleted]. Derail the Frogs!
If Sampson is found guilty of these violations (and I believe he is), then the NCAA needs to think about starting to suspend coaches after multiple occurrences. I know it's their career we are talking about now, but it is unfair to punish the university more severely than a coach when the coach is found guilty of wrong doings.

HA...Indiana ruined any shot of getting Knight back...so i doubt that happens
i'd say his job is safe, if it was on a game to game basis like originally said.
puts a beating on #9 MSU, 80-61
This is not about wins and losses. This about a known cheater who is accused of committing 5 major violations, according to the NCAA. The type he committed at Oklahoma. Indiana has always prided itself in the way it wins -- no black marks until now -- and there was a clause when Sampson was hired that should something like come up, it would be grounds for his removal. He knew that. This Michigan State win and Tuesday against Purdue really don't matter. If he broke the rules, he's gone. I would say IU is mainly checking to see what kind of recourse he would have. As the column said, phone records don't lie.
Indiana wouldn't take Knight back if he paid his own salary. Knight's washed up as a National Contending coach. His reputation is so bad that he can no longer get the top Basketball talent-and he hasn't been nationally competitive or even won conference championships for 15 years.
it wont matter at the end of the season because IU will lose their best two players to the draft. Sampson knows that
So Sampson was willing to break the rules for one year of glory? He was willing to do what he did with potential future IU players. Your mercenary argument doesn't wash.
