Sampson's tenure at IU pretty much over

The NCAA should impose a 1-year ban on Sampson from coaching, and then he should self-impose another year just for good measure to teach himself a lesson.

The NCAA did that with Tarkanian and got their heads handed to them in Court. If anyone basically didn't care about NCAA rules it was Tark the Shark. So, they can't ban Sampson. What they can do is say that because their Coach broke a rule that he was well aware of that the NCAA will not allow Indiana to offer any scholarships to new players for a period of two years. Then if Indiana decides to fire him, and appeal the decision, then the NCAA can be lenient.

Indiana hired him knowing he was under investigation. He already didn't get a scheduled raise because of other transgressions.

The IU AD should be disciplined. The IU compliance guy should be fired.

Sampson got in trouble for the same stuff at OU. Got disciplined, and does the EXACT same thing at IU. Lack of institutional control!!!
