Haven't seen his name mentioned before. SMU on his list.
6'1 pg out of Brooklyn avg 15 pts per game.
Also shoots about 80% from FT line & 58% from the field.
He plays in a very competitive conference loaded with talented players.

How many assists is he averaging? That is where we need the help. His scoring and FT% doesn't hurt either...

If he's from Brooklyn you know he plays tough.

His speed and quickness are his biggest assets.

Doh being a native New Yorker has to help in this case. interesting prospect. he has a weird slate of college choices. have you ever seen Virginia of the ACC and Eastern Illinois of the Mid Ohio Valley Central Athletics Association of North America on the short list for the same player?

Hoop, do JC players normally get star ratings also? I am not that familiar with how JC players are evaluated on Rivals as far as basketball players are concerned.

honestly don't know. But if they do gives stars, it wouldn't mean much I don't think. None of the services possibly scout junior college games on near the scale they cover high school and the AAU circuit. The only thing I would go on as far as jucos are concered is actual offers from other programs.

Do the schools he has listed (Virginia, SMU, etc.) mean they are interested in him or those are the ones he is interested in?

Believe the interest shown is his. He only has one offer, TX Pan Am and it shows a medium interest. The reports show that TX Pam Am is on him hard so I would say it has a high interest. As to Stars, Rivals ranks Prep,
HS and JUCO. Of our current committs Otis is a 3, Haynes and Dubois are 2's and Clarke is not ranked. Johnson is likewise not ranked.

Do not know if the rankings mean anything but there are a lot of 3 stars and at least one 5 statr point guards still not signed. A lot of these kids have BCS offers so maybe some academic or test issues. I could not find any with an expressed interest in SMU but who knows.

It means both, but it doesnt neccessarily mean a great deal of interest. It may just mean that a school sent him a letter, or a questionaire to fill out, and he would have some reciprocal interest if that school pursued him further. The real gauge of how interested a school or player is in the other, is wether he has been offered a scholarship or scheduled a visit with that school.
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.

Seems like as soon as the JC's sign they get 2 stars, sometimes 3.
Makes no sense.
Some of the JC guys listed on Texas hoops are much more talented players than the rated HS players.
