the worst thing that can happen to SMU is losing the season opener. it would be nothing but "SMU made a huge mistake, blah blah blah". but the original poster is right. a W there is huge and gives us the early edge. God I can't wait til Aug. 29th! 6th months to go!

What I want to see is us up by about 30 points, and then, when clear through for yet another TD, for the Pony player who is about to score to stop short and down the ball, himself, at the 1 yard line.

Then bang it in next play.

Anyone else just glad to know that we're not starting out with our traditional start-of-the season butt-whipping by Texas Tech.

Someday hopefully we'll be able to routinely return the favor.

I like this scheduling move. but it really becomes a must win game out of the gate though. losing to rice would be a big downer. can't start the JJ era that way. gotta get it done. its rice.

I'm not sure what it means, but I may have to pick one up before the game.

 Classic. Up there with my husband's favorite TCU Sucks shirt. He's very popular when he wears it around the week before the game each year.

Losing to Rice is always a real downer, no matter when we play them.
