I was just speaking form conversations with smu staff offline. Ticket sales are way ahead of anything they expected, free give aways are out, and the calls never seem to stop coming in.
I knew someone would pick up on it, just not sure people know who Pony Soup used to be.
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!
Since JJ has mentioned Bo Levi Mitchell could compete for a starting spot at QB I found some video on him on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... i+mitchell
.................THANKS for finding this youtube video of QB recruit Mitchell. I agree with JJ in that this guy has a great arm and field vision. He reminds me alot of the Kansas QB this year. Could be a great one for us !

Pony Soup wrote:Theme of the night out of all who rep smu was "we want fans in the seats." Huge push to sell tickets to anyone and everyone, including a recent mailing to more than 160,000 alumni, dallasites, etc. For those of you who cannot attend, buy season tickets and they will allow you to donate them back so they can give them to local charities/organizations who will get people to the games. Should also note that ponyfans is a source of feedback for them. They were extremely happy with the recent thread related to positive season ticket purchasing experiences: http://www.ponyfans.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=31466And, finally, at the risk of revealing my identity...I was very pleased with June's response to my question: WHO will be SMU's starting quarterback?
Ah ha, was was standing right behind you, ok, behind the older couple behind you

Ah! It feels good to have a professional head coach - someone who knows they have the ability to win and will get it done. Same goes for Orsini, and staff. I can't wait for the wins. I love winning. I hate losing.
Cue the famous Patton speech about Americans loving to win and hating to lose.

Earlier in this thread I posted that JJ mentioned several players had let their academics go and run "amok" during the time between end of PB and JJ hiring. I wondered who, now we know! Oh no! J Will, why did you do this? Hope he will stick around and become the great player and leader he could be. Also, heard that Bryce comes from a great family and is a good guy. Hope they both get on track for next year.
