Pony Up advertising campaign for 2008

It will return for the 2008 football season with one small change.

At a recent meeting with SMU president Turner, one of the higher-ups of The Richards Group (creators of Pony Up!) asked him what he thought about the campaign. President Turner's response was that he thought it was a 'positive' message for the university's football program.

However, president Turner asked if a change could be made for the 2008 campaign. When asked what it would be, he responded:

"Do you think the black arrow could be changed to blue?"

Those banners need to go up now. Forget the schedule banner and display the arched SMU w/Peruna opposite the Pony Up. Drive along University Dr. and along Berry St. to see an example of how it is done right... ALL YEAR LONG.

Yep. Annoying as it is, TCU is advertised near campus all the time.

I'd be glad to help sponsor that. There are 2 billboards at the corner of University and Park Hill that I could recommend.

Of course I still miss the "Horned Frogs _____" ads that I used to see around town. There was one one 30 that showed a picture of (I think) a student with a trumpet. It said, "Horned Frogs play" or something like that. My husband always wanted to change their verb to "blow" so it would match the picture better.
