I've heard of this stuff and always wanted to try it. Is it legally for sale in the US?

How was the old bar exam this year? To this day that's the only bar I ever passed without stopping in for a drink.

I'll let you know on May 2nd :)

Shot a nice little 75 today and celebrated with 2 doubles of the sweet nectar of the gods otherwise known as Maker's Mark and a splash of 7-up...........

Kava or "Awa" in Hawaiian is kind of a medicinal type of drink. The root of the Awa plant is chopped and soaked in water and the juices are squeezed out. It basically tastes like dirt. literally. It calms the nerves and give you a feeling of well being.

They have a Awa bar in Honolulu. You can buy it at the bar and try it at home too. It is used thru out Polynesia for ceremonial purposes.

Besides Okolehao, we also have some homemade moonshine called swipe. Its fermented pineapple juice with some guava juice and a bottle of vodka or rum. It makes a good sized keg. Strain it and its as smooth as fruit juice but it has a kick of a jack [deleted]. Smooth but powerful. We brought it to my friend's wedding. About 5 one gallon plastic jugs. The aunties and uncles got so drunk, they litterally had to call the riot squad.

Seriously. Not for public consumption.
