"Josh McCown signed with the Miami Dolphins"
But he wasn't good enough for Cavan?
Josh is in the NFL, where's Cavan?

I was trying to think of a joke about caves collapsing. No avail.

Josh McClown is an NFL laughing stock. The ultimate underachiever. Very surprised Parcells wants this guy.

I'll see your Ryan Leaf and raise you an Akili Smith.
Smith was what most scouts at the time considered the perfect QB. His combine was fabulous. His tapes looked great. Every team drooled over him.
And he failed. Miserably.
Let's not forget the Klinger brothers.
Let's also not forget that McCown, and whatever happened to him here with Cavan, has started for 2 NFL teams, the Cardinals and the Raiders.

And let's not forget Heath Shuler. The Skins wasted the #3 overall pick on this Tennessee product and runner-up for the Heisman trophy. He only started 13 games for them over 2 seasons before being beaten out by 7th round pick Gus Frerotte. He had a career passer rating of a whopping 54.3.

Like him or not, the kid is an NFL QB and I doubt very seriously if he cares what any of us think about him.
I am kind of curious as to his feelings for SMU. Anyone know him and know if he holds, good, bad, or indifferent feelings? Does not matter, but I am a little curious.

Another qb that was run off by Cavan, signed with the Dallas Desperados last week. Congratulations Chris Sanders.

I spoke to him once after a Sam Houston State game when he was on the Bearkats' roster. He told me he holds no grudges against the Mustangs.
