I'm glad this team finally showed heart. Killen was great....where would this team be without him? There are so many things to comment about this game I have no idea where to start.......I'm just glad we got a win.

Killen put us on his back. flat out willed us to victory. I guess he knew his real senior night was tonight because u aint gonna beat Memphis. Guys play above themselves the last week of their career. really happy for Killen.

As for this being a real team victory and sign of things to come, well, I didn't see that tonight unfortunately. i'm sorry, but its like Harp was not even out there the whole second half. Malone? not much more. at this point in this debacle of a season, I want to seen signs of better things next year. Love to see seniors go out on a good note, but thats nothing but feel good stuff at this point.

Harp did a great job on the defensive side of the ball for us. He has not found his stroke (which can't be called a slump after this long) and is a non scoring factor right now as a result. However, he is a good passer, very active on the glass (4 or 5 offensive rebounds today), and a heady player. If he becomes a shooter in the college game he will be a very good player for us.

I thought Malone looked very good on offense tonight. He attacked the basket much of the game, getting to the line as a result and calmly sunk a key jumper at the end of regulation coming off a screen in a play designed for him out of a timeout. Also has improved on entry passes into the post. A nice luxury to have a big with a nice outisde shot that can feed the post well. In years past we have not had this and have constantly had trouble with smallish players getting the ball down low.

Dia played very well until he fouled out. Had close to a double double. I also thought the charge call he picked up was very questionable.

Killen ain't 40, but he's a man in my book!

GO PONIES!

And you cannot overstate how important it is for the growth of these young players to pull out a game like this. Confidence wise you can't even measure it. Basketball is a team effort and while our upperclassmen carried the load tonight, the freshman are learning how to carry themselves in games like this.

I just don't see how we could possibly not be happy about this win or attempt to belittle the contributions of the underclassmen in it.

And for everyone that likes to point out how many freshmen our opponents play and that the inexperience excuse is weak and that our freshman aren't doing enough...

73 of UTEP's 96 points were scored by 3 players- all Juniors or Seniors, which is very comparable to us. And the top 2 point scoring freshmen in the game were both Mustangs- Dia with 10 and Malone with 9.

I guess by "see" you mean that in a figurative sense? Otherwise occupied tonight?

I only caught bits and pieces. For ThadFilms, he can pleased to know I was watching the Nanny Diaries with his "girlfriend".

But I snuck out to watch the final moments of regulation, first OT and end of the game. Happy for the kids that they fought through this and beat a quality team in UTEP. Hadn't beaten them in awhile.

Very solid at the foul line. Shot the ball well. Don't know enough about Malone, Dia or Harp so I'll take Icon's observation. There is great value in a win like this.

It's just nice to win.

Best of all. One of these teams is going back to El Crapo. And it isn't us.

Look at their roster - no sophomores. All either HS freshmen or JUCO juniors and seniors.

I know. Didn't see him there tonight. I could be wrong; maybe I missed him. But I have a pretty good vantage point in sec. PP.

I was wondering where she was off to tonight..... oh, you meant "with" in the "in the movie" sense. Gotcha'. Still doesn't explain where she was tonight. I might have to break it off, you know.... I just don't think she gives me enough of her time to make this whole "relationship" work.

Great win, tonight! Now if we could find some way to knock of Memphis.... is that asking too much?
