Yes. Yes it is.
I just got done watching the game off Tivo, as I was otherwise occupied tonight. Fantastic game, and great to see the guys play hard and come out with a win. I almost threw up when that 3 went in at the end of regulation because we had him swarmed and it was such an off-balance shot.
Killen was simply unbelievable. Fantastic game.
Lots of banging among the big guys in the paint. A couple of their players were throwing elbows even after the whistle. I'm surprised Ritter didn't foul out sooner given how physical the game was getting.
Great game guys. Enjoy it.

What's the deal? The local news, ESPN, the SMU home page reports a win in Double Overtime...didn't we win in Triple Overtime! GR8 Game!

Basketball is a team effort and while our upperclassmen carried the load tonight, the freshman are learning how to carry themselves in games like this.
I just don't see how we could possibly not be happy about this win or attempt to belittle the contributions of the underclassmen in it.
you are very much overstating it. did you see much offensive flow in the comeback? it was basically Killen hoisting gutsy 3pointers from everywhere with guys in his face. Like you say, Harp is not in the offense. We are playing 4 on 5 at our end. it drives me crazy. the 3 games we have won have been comeback victories all where Killen went one-on-one and completely unconcious each time. Especially UCF and Utep. yes, i am glad for the win. but would rather see much more offensive flow, and the young guys being more involved and assertive at this point in the year with all the minutes they have gotten.

Harp has looked completely lost at times...like a FR that isn't quite ready to be playing the number of minutes he has this season...but my bet is that he comes back next year as the most improved Soph and without Killen and Roberts there to carry the scoring load, I expect him to become a much bigger part of the offense...probably one of our leading scorers next year.

Was it just me or television, but did Doh look a little doughy? or maybe his shirt shrunk? or his belt too tight?

The students missed a great game. Probably less than 30 in the student section. Thanks to the ones that were there.

What a game! SMU finally won a close one, and I am very happy for the seniors, D-rob, Jkill and Paulius. With that said, we got very lucky. Jon Killen could not miss anything. Also, I don't know if anyone has said this or noticed it watching it, we had no help side defense. Their guards would drive and beat their man and coast to an easy lay-up. It was driving me nuts, and we never did anything about it. I am glad we got a win, and I think it will provide a lot of momentum going into Wednesday.
I had a great time in the student section (behind UTEP's bench) and it will be rocking on Wednesday. Remember just wear a white shirt, t-shirt, button down, collared, it doesn't matter. And let's get nuts for Wednesday. Let's shock the world

That happens a lot in college basketball. Unfortunately, when someone has a hot hand, everybody defers to them. I don't like it anymore than you do because you really need 3 viable scoring options. We got solid production from Fall and Roberts. But usually, when you go into the OTs, you want your hot hand/best player to carry you.
I think it will get better. But you know have a goofy night going when Ritter steps out and hits a 17-footer because of kind bounces. Enjoy it.
I thought 10 was our number this year after the Alabama St. game. I'm frustrated like everybody else. Screw the arguing over flow for now. It's just nice to beat UTEP.
And if you hadn't noticed, we equaled last year's conference win total. And people thought that group was better. So what does it tell you.

what does it tell me? Look at the schedule. Had to be the weakest schedule in the history of SMU basketball. And that is not an overstatement. we should have had 10 wins before conference play started, not on March 1.

I guess by "see" you mean that in a figurative sense? Otherwise occupied tonight?
FYI...smu diamond m is in the band...he has seen every home game.
I know. Didn't see him there tonight. I could be wrong; maybe I missed him. But I have a pretty good vantage point in sec. PP.
If he was there I missed him... smu diamond m - I picked up the slack on yelling...without a voice now though.
I would br surprised if he wasn't there, but since I wasn't there I can't be certain...guess I better let him defend himself in the future.

Agree with you completely. Once Harp gets the confidence in his shot, he is going to be a great player to have. And I expect that to happen after what Doh has done for Killen and Ike as far as turning their shooting around the last couple of years. Malone is doing so much better than he was at the first of the year. Talk about lost? He looked it at the beginning of the year. Now he is begining to get into the flow of things (Hoop Fan ) and has a tremendous upside. It was a great win, you guys, and can't say enough about how you all hung in there in the OT's.

Didn't Malone have like 18 points in the first game of the season against Southern?

First game I've missed this season. Sorry I let you guys down. I was beat. I took a nap at 4pm and woke up at about 8:30 or so.
Good to know someone will stand up for me, though.
Sir, shooting-star, sir. Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.

19 actually. and 11 against Colorado. But after that he seemed to have lost his way. The last few games his all around play has been so much better. IMHO.
