....and once again a new era at SMU starts off with a bang....no QB and snow/ice on the first day of spring practice.
What's next?

Maybe this will give some of our kids more time to get their grades up.

I don't know why they're cancelling practice. As my HS coach used to say, "Sugar melts, but [deleted] floats..."

Looking out the office window, I don't see any snow or ice. I just see some rain. They should practice - now that we're running run-n-shoot, it'll rain on us every game. Reminds me of this: Looking out the window of your room onto a wet rainy day Main street under a slate gray afternoon sky The light on your face is soft and dim under the lace curtain And the streets are empty In the distance, there is a flash and a rumble Clouds sail the sky like giant wooden ships On a blackened evergreen sea Capped with foam
Bonus points to whoever can tell me what this is from without looking it up.

No ice/snow yet, but it's supposedly coming later...I guess that seemed a little more dramatic for me to say than just rain.

Think the Frogs will let us borrow their indoor facility?

Absolutely! Talk about a game that'll take you back to the '70s!

My wife, also between Preston and Hillcrest (is there something I should know MM65?) reports some sleet too.
But I think they should practice. Let them know that the easy, laid back days are over. If we want them to play hard in bad weather, they need to practice hard in bad weather.

If it were the last day, maybe, but these kids need to be able to concentrate and learn a whole new system. I would try to make up any bad weather day possible throughout the entire spring practice schedule.

Sleet eh? Sounds like hail might be possible. I'm sure glad my company has covered parking for everyone, not just upper management. Oh wait.......
