Not saying I have a better nickname, of course, but ... will work on it.
from www.wikipedia.org: The Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) was designed largely in response to the Soviet BMP family of infantry fighting vehicles, and to serve as both an APC, and a tank-killer. One specific design requirement was that it should be as fast as the new M1 Abrams main battle tank so that they could maintain formations while moving, something which the older M113 Armored Personnel Carrier could not do, as it had been designed to complement the older M60 Patton.
Have you seen the movie Pentagon Wars? It gives great insight into the Bradley.

Thanks, GeorgiaMustang - forgot about Rock Dennis. Yes, he was out there. I didn't spend a lot of time watching the secondary, but I did see him in some agility drills, and he looked like he was running smoothly - definitely fast. I'll see what else I can find out.

PonyPride:
Do you know (or anyone else for that matter) how many, if any, of our QBs are left handed? Just curious.

Good work Pony Pride! Even though it was just one practice, things were looking good and it looked like coaches were actually....coaching! Shocker, I know.

Time for a "can you imagine..."
How 'bout Dizer stays healthy, adds weight, same thing with the freshman that we pulled from Vandy...a year from this fall, we start two defensive ends that go 6'6 250 or above

I know PonyPride didn't see much of the secondary, but did anyone else notice De'Von Bailey? I expect a big year from him.

He was there. Unfortunately, I only got to sit in on the first hour of practice where they were mostly running drills (so I didn't get to see much worth noting). But here's the first #8 photo of spring ball.

Thanks for info. on the players and numbers that have changed. Missed one. Vincent Chase was 86 for 4 seasons and now is #60. Oh well, wanted some new shirts. Thank You again for your valued observation.

PonyPride wrote:I wasn't out there the whole time, so I didn't get to take as many notes as usual, but here are a few nuggets:
• One of the most impressive players on the first day of practice was redshirt freshman WR Bradley Haynes. He appears to be every bit of his listed 6-foot-3 height and looks stronger than his listed 205 pounds. More importantly, he made all of the catches, both routine and the slightly off-target. He showed good speed and acceleration, separating from some defensive backs to get open downfield, and showed no effects of the knee injury that he suffered last year. He's very big and looks exceptionally strong. I'd say it's a safe guess that he's been working extremely hard in the weight room.
And here's one of the aforementioned Bradley Haynes. As big as advertised.
Speaking of big, I also noted Phillip Burley out there running and making catches.
