Next game up is UAB vs. Marshall, and we will get the winner of this one, tomorrow. UAB won both of the regular season games, by 15 in Birmingham and by 12 at Marshall. Here's hoping that the Thundering Herd can take them to overtime today. Triple Overtime, if possible. UAB had a first round bye, and Marshall beat Tulane yesterday. Marshall had a large lead early but Tulane made a late comeback to make the score look closer than it was.

Final numbers: Janielle Dodds- 16 points (played just 17 minutes) Brittany Gilliam 13 points, Delisha Wills- 12 points, Sharee Shepherd, 4 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals. Alice Severin, 2 points, 7 rebounds. Brittani Allen a career high 9 points. NIce work, everyone played at least 3 minutes, and no one played more than 30, so we should be fresh tomorrow. 22nd win ties team record. Good stuff.

This is a HUGE morale boost for the team. The defense really showed how bad we wanted the win. They really never let up at all. Good win by the ladies. The win Sunday will be better.
UAB/Marshall is a game I wish I could see, maybe PP will give us ocassional updates.
PP is on my post count tail

Congratulations, Ladies. Picked the right time to win one of the three. Sounded like the defense was wonderful. Dodds should be very fresh for Saturday. And we took care of the ball with only 12 tunovers.
Remember, we blew out Marshall and UAB on their home floors. I expect much more difficult games.
Very pleased with the performance. Keep it going.

If we could only win one of them, at least it was this one!

UAB's second-best player (Crystal McFadden) is out with an eye injury, and starting center Christon Ingram had to be carried off in the first half with what looked like a right knee injury.

SMU CENTER JANIELLE DODDS
On losing to Tulsa twice this season
[b]“I came into this game personally furious that we lost to this team twice, and was not going to let it happen again. I know all my teammates, including Brittany Gilliam, were still furious that we lost to them twice and that never should have happened.â€
