1st tournament opponent

Both Tulsa and Marshall have 8-8 records in conference play and are tied for 6th place, but Marshall beat Tulsa when they played. Does this make Marshall our first round opponent in the tournament?

We play UTEP at 2:30 on Tuesday in first round according to the C-USA website. Here's to hoping that we pull the upset again.

Yep, its UTEP. Tulsa, Marshall and UTEP finished tied for 6th with 8-8 records. UTEP and Tulsa split, Marshall beat Tulsa, and UTEP beat Marshall so I don't know how the seeding was decided between these 3.

I know we beat UTEP at home, but I think it would have been better for us to face either Marshall or Tulsa.

Ok I get it now. Marshall and Tulsa played twice and split, so the record of the three in head to head makes UTEP 2-1, Tulsa 2-2 and Marshall 1-2

I like our chances of beating UTEP. We have been playing well of late (last 3 games) and hopefully that will push us to win at least one game in the conference tourney.
