Let's see, where do I want to go?Alright, now that our bid is secured, it's time to talk about where we want to play in the first round. My top 3 choices are all places we've been before, and had a good trip before, Albuquerque NM, San Jose CA (Stanford), and Fairfax VA (Old Dominion). The mountains around Albuquerque are beautiful this time of year, and offer outdoor sporting opportunities, and The Pit is a cool gym. Stanford was the site of our first evwer NCAA tournament win, and the Bay Area offers all kinds of attractions, last time we were there we toured San Francisco, visited the Muir Woods and Sausalito, had really good chinese food in Chinatown, and some good seafood. That was a high quality trip.
#1 choice, though, has to be Virginia. Not just because it was the sight of our upset of North Carolina State, not just because Coach Rompola is something of a hero there, not just because we stayed in a pretty cool hotel, toured the Naval base at Norfolk, and had some pretty good seafood...... Besides all that, I hope we play our first round game in Virginia, because it's Janielle Dodds home. She's the only player on the squad from outside Texas, and if she could have the chance to play in the Big Dance in front of family and friends, that would tremendous for her senior year. I'm keeping fingers crossed that we get sent to Virginia for our first game. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
X,
I would choose San Jose.....the Bay is one of my favorite parts of the country. San Fran is such a great city. When I lived in LA I made a couple of weekend trips up to No Cal to see the Ponies play San Jose St. Always had a good time.
San Jose is great, it was one of the best trips I've ever taken with Mustang sports anywhere, and the people who went with us still talk about what a great time we had. That's why it's definitely in my top 3. But, for Janielle, I still hope it's Virginia.
Fairfax is about three hours north of ODU on I-95. But I'm sure some from the West Springfield area will make the trip down to watch.
Yeah, sorry about that, I guess you could call it a freudian slip. Fairfax is Janielle's hometown, the games will be played in Norfolk. Sorry, my bad. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
Nah it's not a bad I understood what you were saying, besides her friends and family will drive three hours before they drive twenty eight to New Mexico. Went to high school bout ten minutes from West Springfield while Janielle was there I want to say they cranked out women's prospects like a factory for a couple years but I have no idea.

Doesn't Texas still claim Oklahoma as part of their territory? All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Given that April 24 is Easter Sunday and April 22 is Good Friday, it's kind of tough to be on the road those days (I sing my Church Choir). I'm hoping for College Park. After all we don't want to short change God at Easter time, we need all the help we can get.
March 24 and March 21. But we get the idea. Just do not want you to miss Easter. ![]() All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand

Oklahoma is our hat. Just like Canada is the US hat. Sir, shooting-star, sir.

And I don't care where we go. For Dodds' sake, I'll say VA though.
Although I wouldn't mind Stanford, especially since it's arguably the nicest Sir, shooting-star, sir.
