For those that have anxiously awaited the final ruling......it is official.......

Arkansas State University Red Wolves.

Also, they should know by Friday as to whether or not Rollin' Nolan Richardson will be their new BB coach. He has told them what he wants and is waiting for their response. He openly said that he is their coach if they meet his conditions. He will not disclose the conditions.

I can't imagine the cost all this change on ASU (spirit wear, uniforms, web sites, gym and football facilities, advertisement and promotions, etc.) Does the university absorb all dollars because of this change? Are they provided any outside assistance because they are forced to make this change?
This will create a major nightmare and depletion of funds.

UHHO!

Looks like ASU will have to change their mascot AGAIN!

This man: http://www.reunion.com/ulmchiefredwolf is "Chief of the United Lumbee Nations Redwolf Band Of Ar. La. Tenn.a Sovereign Indian Nation"

I still say ASU should have just kept all the same logos, mascots, etc. and just added a tiny flag of India on there.

Or maybe they could have changed to the "Indian Elephants" and had their current mascot ride an elephant.

How's this?

Welcome to the politically correct club. William and Mary is on its third logo since the NCAA ruled that the W&M Logo couldn't have feathers sticking out of it. Illinois has been told they have to ditch Chief Illiniwick. But FSU can still have the Seminole on horseback throwing a spear into the ground at football games. Makes sense to me, not. The North Dakota Fighting Sioux are suing to keep their logo and nickname. Apparently about 25% of the stucents at UND are Sioux, but the NCAA says no, not correct enough. This is the silliest crusade of the NCAA and serves no useful purpose except to cause more money to leave the academic area of the school towards the athletic and administrative part of the school. But hey a couple of Native American activists are happy.

I wonder if they will keep that red Fraggle Rock looking mascot costume. The one that tried to plant the ASU flag by our fans as we chanted SMU, but couldn't get it to stick in the ground. Good one

Conditions were not met and Nolan will not be going to ASU.
