Echo Yell for Ford Stadium
SMU fans need to create an Echo Yell for Ford Stadium. Texas Tech has "Raider Power". Arkansas has "Arkansas Razorbacks". Tech takes command not only on the field, but with the fans with their Echo Yell. How can we get this started?

I agree with White Helmet. First things first, gets some wins and put people in the stands. Two people on each side of the stadium will hardly be heard.
Nice idea! We have plenty of time to prepare.
Make sure you are thick skinned, John R. Barfield, this newbie first post could take some clever hits.
I laughed out loud at MustangStealth and the wife came running. She thought something was wrong with me.

Hahaha!! I was there for that. Most awkward chant ever. It was so long that I could have sworn one side was yelling "Arkansas State University- Jonesboro" followed by "Indians, pending a politically correct name change next year"
That guy was throwing out "Go Razorbacks" all game.. classic.

The echo chant is one of those things that only works and is cool when a ton of other people are doing it. It's not so much what we're chanting that will sound cool, but the fact that we have a ton of noise going back and forth is what makes it cool.
I remember at some bball games, the cheerleaders would try to get the crowd to do some, and I think if we got enough people hyped up at a football game, they would work well.
"RED...BLUE...RED...BLUE"
or
"GO...MUSTANGS..."etc.
Again, just reading them sounds lame, but once they caught on, it'd just be an accepted thing. It's like VT is the Hokies, but has a turkey as a mascot, or why Tech yells Raider Power. They sound dumb when put in words, but when you have a stadium of people that recognize it as THEIR thing, then it becomes cool. This is the same reason I never understood why people wanted to change the mascot or the fight song. It's not they have some intrinsic cool factor, but when all the fans are cheering along, it's super-spirited. Am I making any sense?
