way to stick your neck out there :)

A lot better than your useless posts bud.

just thought it was funny you put two qualifiers in one sentence. sorry about the negativity, it's a remnant from the days of having george as my avatar.

Otis looks like he has a little better sense of space and control than Willie Davis. i think Doherty will have to intentionally put boundaries on his game in the beginning. good instincts

Otis led McClyonds to a playoff win Fri night...they remain undefeated.

OAKLAND SECTION FINALS

MCCLYONDS 70, OAKLAND 53: Frank Otis had 18 points, William Cherry 14, Demario Sims 12 and Damon Powell 10 as McClymonds, the state’s No. 8 team and likely foe in a NorCal Division I final, improved to 28-0 with a convincing win over Oakland, which got 16 points from Damian Lillard. Both teams advance to next week’s CIF North Region Tournament.

McClymonds (Oakland) 31-0 (2)
If Mitty showed everyone they are No. 1 in the Bay Area, Mack showed everyone they are far and away the next best metro team and deserving of their current No. 4 overall state ranking. The Warriors won their second straight Division I NorCal title, this year by a 50-37 final over De La Salle at ARCO. The Warriors were sloppy in the first half and trailed 14-13 at intermission, but in the late third and fourth quarter they went on a 14-0 run ignited by William Cherry to put the game away. Cherry finished with game-highs of 18 points and 15 rebounds with three assists. SMU-bound 6-foot-6 Frank Otis recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and added five blocks. Damon Powell dunked his way to 11 points. Can the fellas from West Oakland send retiring coach Dwight Nathaniel off with a victory over state No. 2 ranked Dominguez of Compton and with a season as the only undefeated boys team in California? They have a shot.

It really looks like he's had a very consistent season just based on the little things I've seen and read. Should be interesting when he gets on campus.

Another nice line for Otis and another great win for his team. Excited to get him on campus for next season.

he was 1 for 12 though from the Free Throw Line about a week ago. He probably could be a 20 ppg guy if he could shoot a Free Throw

Oh oh. I assume he is signed so Memphis can not go after him with a FT % like that.

That's silly as there is a vast difference in competition level. Otis is playing with and against men. Harp was the only player on an average team, in an average, at best, basketball area
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

that's a stacked state final. If its like last year, Otis' game will be on one of the Fox Sports West channels. DirecTV viewers w/the sports package, check out Mook. I know I will be

Will Otis play a hybrid position like Devon Pearson? He seems a little small for a true Power Forward. I know he can't shoot free throws, but can the guy knock down jumpers with any range?
