...has asked for his release of his scholarship and intends to transfer. He was a last-minute commit and sign for the Gophers from Aldine. He played in 11 games last year as a true freshman. He told the Minnesota writers he didn't know where he was going. he's about 6-1 and 200. Don't know if he would want to go back to UH or Rice, but he is a talent. Just wasn't a fit up there for the Gophers.

Edit: Prior to committing to the Gophers, he had committed to Kansas St. He didn't elaborate but he also mentioned some family issues. But he also said he just didn't like it up there. Too far from home. Probably got homesick.

Bet on Houston. They are great at getting Houston area D1A Transfers. Coming out of high school he looked exclusively at BCS schools(bushel full of offers). Rated 5.7 3 Star.
