I'll bet that the Wal-Mart is no more than a mile and a half (actually, almost certainly less) as the crow flies from Bobcat Stadium. Still impressive, but nowhere near as impressive as what you are trying to make it out to be.

Sorry to have missed the mileage. None-the-less it sounds loud as heck inside the stadium and I think it would be something that would benefit the game atmosphere at SMU. How we do it is the cheerleaders (there are a group on each side of the stadium) hold up signs, alumni side yells TEXAS and the students side yells STATE. The thing we have had to work on most is getting the cheerleaders not to do it when we have the ball LOL.

That is similar to how the "TEXAS --- FIGHT" yell works at UT-Austin. The caveat is that the stadium does have to be near-full for the effect to be fully felt. Our stadium hasn't been near-full with our own fans since...well, maybe someone else can help me answer that question.

I was in no way trying to talk smack, just wanted to point out that we do it and it adds to the game atmosphere and I thought it would be something cool for you guys too, that's it. Sorry if some of you took it the wrong way. Knowing what kind of fans my parents were who both went to SMU I thought all fans of SMU were like that. I guess I was wrong.
