I concur.

We can't find something a little more unique?

You will hear ours in September. When we are the visitors we split the section in half, TEXAS....STATE, at home games it's been heard all the way on the other side of I-35 about 5 miles away. Echo yells are great when they are done right, especially on opposing team 3rd downs late in a game.

I-35 is NOT 5 miles from your stadium...maybe a mile.

No it isn't. Even by road (which adds distance as opposed to true distance) to the FURTHEST corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot, the distance is only 2.3 miles. I'll bet that the Wal-Mart is no more than a mile and a half (actually, almost certainly less) as the crow flies from Bobcat Stadium. Still impressive, but nowhere near as impressive as what you are trying to make it out to be.

You tell 'em, Cal...bust his chops. Hey beamout2000...I bet SMU beats your team. I bet that SMU beats them real, real badly.
And oh, by the way, you can indeed consider that smack-talk.
...couldn't find your own [deleted] with two hands a flashlight...and you are excited over hearing cheers all the way to Wally-world.
How nice.

Sorry to have missed the mileage. None-the-less it sounds loud as heck inside the stadium and I think it would be something that would benefit the game atmosphere at SMU. How we do it is the cheerleaders (there are a group on each side of the stadium) hold up signs, alumni side yells TEXAS and the students side yells STATE. The thing we have had to work on most is getting the cheerleaders not to do it when we have the ball LOL.

That is similar to how the "TEXAS --- FIGHT" yell works at UT-Austin. The caveat is that the stadium does have to be near-full for the effect to be fully felt. Our stadium hasn't been near-full with our own fans since...well, maybe someone else can help me answer that question.

I thought you guys still said "Sweet" followed by "Sue," in honor of SWTSU from the days of the Wacker Backers

I think the jury is still out but we can always resort to the standard (and always appropriate) "FROGS....SUCK" until we agree on one.
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

Lets be honest here: No one expected you to get the mileage right. If you got the mileage right you might have gone to TCU instead, but no doubt SMU would have rejected you still. Scoreboard.

I was in no way trying to talk smack, just wanted to point out that we do it and it adds to the game atmosphere and I thought it would be something cool for you guys too, that's it. Sorry if some of you took it the wrong way. Knowing what kind of fans my parents were who both went to SMU I thought all fans of SMU were like that. I guess I was wrong. Sorry to have interupted your conversation.
