Want to see bad coaching? Just find Sean Sutton

For anyone who watched Oklahoma St.-Texas, you saw a team that wouldn't know the first thing about shot selection. The Cowboys took 57 shots, 31 as 3s. Time and again, they settled on the perimeter, dribble penetration was poor -- they acted like they had never seen a zone before -- which left the inside game sitting around doing stuff. They shot 36 percent. In short, they were just not well coached. I think Sean Sutton did a terrible job.

You look at Texas and Rick Barnes. They had their perimeter game at work in D.J Augustin and Damion James who balanced himself from the perimeter and the inside. Texas shot 47 percent. At no point did Texas ever feel that OSU would rally.

I don't write this as a UT fan. I just write it from the perspective of do some of these kids really understand what a good shot is?

What happened to the days of the 11-13 foot jumper? Now, it's a lost art. Can't wait for the 3-point line to move back next year. The college game will be better for it.

What kind of zone. 2-3, 2-1-2, 2-2-1. If they are in the 2-3 the idea would be to try and shoot them out of it, especially when OSU has no real 4 or 5 to catch the ball in the High Post to collapse the zone.

I was at a watering hole and there was glare on the TV but it looked like 2-3. I know what you're saying about shooting teams out of it, but Byron Eaton just didn't do enough in my estimattion. There were some decent looks but you can still shoot a 12-15 footer against a zone.

OSU was dribble and kick to the wing behind the arc. 31 of their 57 shots were 3s. Texas has size but I think OSU gave them too much credit. I thought they played them better in Austin last week.
