Couldn't have worked out much better for UT. Pretty easy path to the sweet sixteen where they will face Stanford...which they should win and then they will get a home game vs Memphis in Houston. Memphis can't be too happy about that.

Great. Memphis gets the lowest number by its name, and UT still gets the No. 1 seed. Conference rankings clearly trump team rankings. Calipari should be furious.

For the NCAA selection comittee, they also look at which games will draw large crowds. I went to the opening round games when they were in Dallas. when UT and OU played there games, it was basically full in the ACC. when the other games were played, the crowd was nothing like the UT and OU games.
yet again, it all comes back to the all mighty $

Then they have no business dressing it up as a "seeding" process. They ought to just line up the teams in order of attendance and pick the games based on that. This is crap. I have no problem with Memphis coming to Texas, but if the Tigers come to Texas, the damn Horns should be on one of the coasts or at least up north.

Pac-10 is better than Big 12 this year. Don't count Stanford out just yet. Lopez twins are good.

Memphis will not get beat because they end up in Texas. They will get beat because they shoot about 46% from the free throw line.

yes FT's will kill Memphis down the stretch. I can't believe Digger has them in the Finals, he should know better. They will get beat in the 1st close game that comes down to fouls.

Yes, if it's a close game it will cost them. They are good enough to stay out of close games though, even with good teams. Look at what they did to UConn, Georgetown, OU, etc. I think they could make it to the finals, but they could also go out in the 3rd or 4th round.
