SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Great photo! I became acquainted with the Cunninghams this past football season. Mustangs all! Happy New Year to the Cunninghams and good luck to 'Comet' in his future endeavours!

We're in the process of setting up a photo archive where everyone can view past Photos of the Day as well as order high quality 8x10 prints and 3' posters.
I think the 8x10 will run about $25 and the posters $90. If you see anything you just gotta have before we get this set up, just e-mail webmaster or one of the moderators and we'll get it taken care of.
