Jabari was a gorilla at the Dallas Zoo. In 2004, Jabari escaped from his confines, injured some folks (I think), and was shot by DPD.

great move for SMU to market at the parade. definitely the biggest cross section of Dallas demography at any one event all year and everyone's in a good mood.

it's suuch a cool event in fact that it's almost like Chicago for a day...in the summer...not when it's -20

Being random...I found out from one of the subsequent news stories that one of my friends from my High School days made the 911 call when Jabari escaped. Man, that was crazy.
