I've never understood why anyone would want to go to Purdue. It's always sounded like a pretty ugly place to go to school. Sort of like the Texas Tech of the Upper Midwest, except colder and with fewer good looking women. Maybe some of you making the trip can enlighten me.

And the hot ones are wearing too many clothes. Down here, they barely wear anything

I really liked Notre Dame when I was there...too bad it is in the God-forsaken town of South Bend. West Lafayette has GOT to be better than that.

I found a brewery in Lafayette, which doesn't seem to far. A few stumbles and a taxi...

Cow tipping is probably a big activity there. I do remember when I was in law school after taking the bar exam, we went on spring break to the Florida keys and managed to party with the Purdue cheerleaders down there. Not bad.

Anyone know how long of a drive it is? Flight prices are expensive.

I drive to Dayton Ohio (roughly same distance and direction) in about 13-14 hours. I drive pretty fast. I am planning on driving up on Saturday, or possibly leaving friday night. Want a lift? Split gas costs?

929 miles.

At 20 MPG, and $3.15/gallon that's ~$300 in gas. Much cheaper than a flight. (in my head, not sure about reality  )

Especially since that'd be over 2 people.

Looks like we'll be able to keep ourselves entertained with snowball fights.

There's always church and prayer meetings, and I bet there will be a sock hop at one of the local school gymnasiums.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
