Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the band and our sporting events would be DEAD AND BORING without the band. But how many songs are actually on the song list? And, how often do they change between each basketball game? And since I attend most of the sporting events, I guess it is only normal for me to think that I am hearing the same songs over and over and over again. And that joke wasn't that bad....it's all in the delivery...you must have really butchered it when you said it in your head.
Initially there are 30-40 tunes in the folder. Now? Between 40-50. I think thats about right. There are thousands in the library (an overhwhelming majority of them being original arrangements, if not all), but it takes a lot of time to rehearse songs.
Sir, shooting-star, sir. Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.

but only at a time when the game is really exciting, and SMU has the crowd on its feet.

Normal? Maybe you should let the Mustang Band know how many songs you need. I'm sure they could learn 1,000 songs and play each one time so you could deal with your redundancy issue. After all, they are trying to please all of the people all of the time. Let me know what game they are going to play "Peruna"... I want to be there for that one.

Which director is going to the tournament? This might be a situation where the one with more torunament experience gets the nod.
yes, I'm suddenly worried we see a reprise of Lollipops and Roses at the NCAA, or that we allow the other band to walk all over us.

Someone needs to start a thread about the Mustang Band so the conversation goes back to the new point guard.

Touchy touchy. My point was, if I am going to 2 smu events in one week, the odds of me hearing the same song are a lot higher for obvious reasons and there isn't much to do about it. Again, if you read all of the posts, you would have read the part where I said I enjoyed them and they are much needed. But I guess that part didn't matter.
Was just curious how many songs they learned a year.
Thanks for your time SMU Diamond M for answering the question straight foward.

Not only do his stats and skills prove to be good for the team, but as Stallion pointed out, if he does sign and can get in, it means more importantly we are recruiting on what would appear to be a
more equal playing field.
