How have the safety spots been looking fo us. Are we going to be strong at that position. Who is looking really good?

FS is #10 Rock Dennis, he should be a very good player for us.
SS is #41 Tyler Jones, not the best athlete in the world, but a pretty good football player. He will come and hit you.
Pushing Tyler is # 3 De Von Bailey, a big physical player, that has made some nice improvement from last season.

The misspelling in the title of this thread cracked me up for some reason.

I dont think that Hudman will start if he comes back. Jones has talked about improving defensive speed and Hudman just does not have any.

Huh? He has excellent speed for a big safety. He's faster than De'Von Bailey, and faster than Tyler Jones (haven't seen Rock Dennis run enough to know).

Hudman is a step faster than Bailey and Jones, but not Rock. Hudman made a bunch of tackles last year, but he sure missed a bunch as well. He also had problems getting off blocks, and blowing assignments.

Tyler Jones is a decent enough athlete to play safety in C-USA. I seem to remember him playing very well against Tulsa in the first half this year. Plus he's another East Texas boy (Emory Rains) which is right down the road from where I went to high school (Lone Oak).
Back off Warchild seriously.

I think all the Safeties except Dennis have questionable Division 1A speed including Banjo. Think we've got nice speed at corner with McCann and Bell.

He's got to be as fast, if not faster. Maybe Bailey has more potential, talent, upside - whatever you want to call it - but Hudman can run, there's no doubt about that.
