Valiant try by the ladies, just to many boards (24 on the offensive end) by the Irish. I thought when it was 57 all that they might just do it then ND goes on a 14-0 run. They should be alright next year. 75-62 final.

Very disappointing performance, this game wasn't as close as the 75-62 score. 49-26 on the boards, are you kidding me?

Jesus Christ.

Really thought they were gonna win it when they tied it up, but good try I guess.

Congrats on a great season ladies.

Congrats to the women on a great season! And to coach Rampola on her 300th win this season, too! I hope the 'Stangs return to the tournament next season and go further!

They will have to at some point in order to reach Steve-O's mandate to be "top 25".

They made some really poor decisions when it was tied and had some silly turnovers. They turned it over 2x and ND converted and then it was totally over after that.

Too bad, nice conf tourney - and at least they made it to the dance.

For as bad as they played on the boards and to be in a position to win this with 3 mins left in the game was a pure testament to the fight these ladies had in them. The thing that has plagued us all year was the glaring difference in this game and that's rebounding. We have been out rebounded all year long however it's never been to this extent. What is most disappointing is the fact that we still hadn't learned how to close out games. This has been a great ride for this group of ladies and I am extremely proud of them. They never gave up and they played the way they have all year and that is to place themselves in a position to win. That was consistent and for that I am really proud of them. Great Job Stangs! It should be a very interesting next year,

I didn't get to see much Sunday because I was out of town. But it looked like one of our problems this season reared itself at the wrong time. We get into those 2-3 minute stretches where we play wilda$$ basketball with silly turnovers and the spacing gets poor. Plus, we had no answers on the block (as everybody pointed).

That said, I'm proud of them and their season and what they accomplished. They met expectations of going to the tournament. We'll miss the leadership from Dodds. But as she said in the postgame interview, hopefully this will be the start of a run between this school and this tournament for the next several years.

24-9 -- I'll take that -- even over a couple of victories in the WNIT.

BTW, I guess everybody saw that UTEP got hammered by Stanford by 30-something points. Not suprising.
