yes...go CUSA. Hope Memphis wins it all. I like the idea of having the national champ in our conference. Tells us how far we have to go to compete at the highest level.

I had the pleasure of watching Memphis jump out to a big lead in front of about 20 Whorn supporters at Fox Sports Grill on Legacy. If I had been a neutral fan upon sitting down to watch the game, I really think I would've wound up quickly becoming a Memphis fan.

And big, bad UT's Final Four appearances? Just two more than SMU. 3-1.

Derrick Rose is so freaking good. I love watching that guy play. Whatever NBA team ends up with the second pick in the draft will get one helluva PG.

I have to admit, getting the Damn Cows as far as he did in the first year A.D. (After Durant) is pretty impressive, but Rick Barnes is still overrated, the Damn Cows are overrated and that god-awful color is still akin to polyester puke. NCAA threw them a home game and they still got destroyed.

Way to go, Memphis - WIN IT ALL.

Overrated? Texas was NEVER a basketball school. Texas NEVER won crap in basketball - our program was a joke... until Rick Barnes came along. He's recruited two national players of the year, taken the team to the final four and the elite 8 twice in his 10 years at Texas. Yes, texas sucked [deleted] yesterday, but rick barnes in not overrated. Rightly deserving of his candidacy for coach of the year. Texas got as far as I had hoped for this year and anything after that for me was gravy. Just disappointed we didn't put together a better showing against Memphis. Good luck to them going forward.

Memphis is in a class of it's own in CUSA. If I were they I'd find a stronger conference to play in.

Texas ALMOST turned the corner in basketball in 1982 or 1983. They started something like 12-0, then Jim Wacker's son got hurt. Their season went down the crapper, and they struggled pretty much until Penders came along.

for Longhorn-

C-USA is on the rise, sip.
Don't jack with SMU's new conference. You already had a nice part in destroying the SWC - and ALL for money.

Rick Barnes is one of 500 coaches who could win at Texas with that endless sea of talent pouring in every year.

EDIT: And SMU stayed with Memphis about as well as UT did, when the Tigers came to Moody.
