Google Earth hour

Post by CashMcMogulsonIII »

check out www.google.com turn the lights out
Girls LOVE hearing about things like my car and my season tickets. I usually try to work in what street my parents live on, just so they know where I'm coming from. That's a deal closer. Always be closing!

The REAL Cash McMogulson would be too busy closing deals to waste any time turning lights off.

I hope they publish the estimated amount of energy saved from this stunt. I'm curious.

It probably won't be too terribly much...would have made a much bigger impact had it been given more publicity.

Nah, I made sure to turn on all the lights in my oversized suburban house (all incandescent), ran my dryer on each individual item while doing laundry, and cranked the A/C down to 65. Nuke the whales!

This is pretty much just a copy of something another site already did, and is permanently on.

I would expect this to have the same wonderful results as the "Hands across America" did.

There is no question that the earth is getting warmer - but my question is this: If the earth getting warmer, melting ice, will cause a runaway effect, why didn't it happen 1000 years ago when the earth was much warmer than it is today?

When the Vikings settled greenland, it really was green, and they had farming and livestock there. Sea ice was diminished enough for them to sail to Canada and start a Viking colony there. Why wasn't this runaway?
