I picked Memphis also. But sure was wrong on many other games.

Calling mrydel names in a private message is gutless. Take a cue from Inane, at least he calls me out here in public for everybody to see. And Barnes and Brown ARE both good coaches.

IPP and I have had our run ins also but always up front and in the open. I used to be very much a UT hater, but have mellowed in my old age. I have also come to realize that they no longer are the problem, but rather the BCS that is dividing us into haves and have nots in Division 1. That is the area that we must concentrate our efforts to either find a way to join or change in order that we not get farther and farther behind.

I'm not a Memphis fan but I enjoyed their whipping of UT yesterday.

After seeing NC play I am convinced that they are the best team in the final 4. Would be great to see them go up against Memphis. That would be a awesome game. With all the teams being #1 seeds who will the refs favor? My guess is in this order: NC, UCLA, Kansas then Memphis. Go Memphis! We need the money.

You've got to be kidding.
YOU're the guy who follows that embarrassment of a tournament?
Seriously? You actually know who's playing in the CIA/CBA/CPA?
Get a girlfriend.

Not only are they good coaches, but they are two of the best in the country. That's the reason they're at UT.

We beat 2 of the number 1 seeds and 1 of the number 2 seeds. Unfortunately we just didn't come out to play yesterday. Would have been nice if it had at least been a game.

I hate to rain on your parade, since you are a nice guy, but the "Unfortunately we just didn't come out to play yesterday." statement is nothing more than an attempt at rationalization. The reason your team looked the way they did is because they were totally out matched ... plain and simple. Give Memphis the well earned credit for being the damn good team it is.

Barnes is a quality coach, mostly b/c he's a very good recruiter. Nobody in the ACC feared his ability to X & O, but he stood up for his players and didn't back down to people like Dean Smith. I think much of the ACC is glad he keeps turning down the NC State job. Barnes or Sean Miller may be NCSUs only shot at returning to hoops elite.

I lost a lot of respect for Barnes in the Durant $weepstakes, but that's the way Stu Vetter roles, and always has.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

ACtually, PK, I do believe that. But I also have watched this team all year and have seen them play outside themselves and have seen them play flat. I do believe this game was the latter. I think Texas had the potential to at least give them a game, but they just didn't have it in them yesterday. And that is in no way meant as an attempt to discredit Memphis.

Please enlighten me on that one. I have no idea what you're talking about (but then again, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the NBA).

I'm curious too. I've always wondered how UT got Durant to come to Texas, but I've never heard any wrongdoing or shadiness on Barnes part, and I know Stu Vetter is the coach at Montrose Christian........what's the story?

What does that have to do with anything? They secured a #1 seed and made it to the Final Four. Whether the conference tested them or not is irrelevant, because it didn't affect them in the NCAA tournament. If Memphis loses either Saturday or Monday, it won't be because they played in CUSA. So why the shot at CUSA?
