I knew the stomach flu was going around, and that building looks what I already ate.

That will do. Some of us alums prefer to live here and enjoy the city minus the cream of botulism campus, thank you.
Typical Fort Worthless inferiority complex.
Typical Dallas artificial superiority complex.
Incorrect, Sir. Dallas surrounds SMU, thus it is inherently superior. I will admit FW does have a much nicer downtown.
That's fair.

The only decent additions to Amon Carter over the last twenty years have involved rye seed and roundup.

I certainly hope that their architect is not the architect for the Bush Library.

In fairness I thikn Fort Worth is a great town in many respects. Certainly their civic leaders have done a lot for such a small population. If Dallas had the vision that they do we would not have killed off the nightlife of our city.
Now TCU....that's a different story...

A voice of reason! I love Fort Worth. I had lots of fun in Dallas in college, but I knew I wanted to raise a family here. Fort Worth is a great place to live. TCU is hideous, though. You can post a lot of ugly photos of that campus, but nothing is uglier than the Walsh building IMO. They really need to pick a style and stick with it. It is a total hodgepodge.

That was dark but very funny. If you've seen one crushed frog, you've seen em all.

The same architect for the Dallas Cowboys stadium designed this - a big Horned Frog.
His goal is to make our stadium the "Camden Yards of College Football."
I also find it interesting that some of you think it's an ugly campus, yet you haven't visited it within the past few years. I'd say it's easily one of the nicest campuses in Texas, probably the country.

Are you speaking with the understanding that your state's bid for secession failed?

Buddy, I drive through there at least once a day. It is hideous. And nothing matches anything else. The new student center is going to be a behemoth, but doesn't excuse the fact that every building that has been built within the last 10 years (possibly longer, but I never paid attention when I was in high school) looks like the rest of the campus was ignored when it was designed.

Apparently TCU has the same philosophy as the Univ. of Arkansas. It has a gorgeous setting in the Ozarks but every building is an architects "dream" having absolutely no relation to anything else on campus, and thus a hodge-podge of unrelated architecture. Awful!
