Practice Today?

Postby ponyboy » Fri Apr 04, 2008 8:15 am

Friend's father is in town today, a former footballer for Miami of Ohio. He's an old fan of SMU but has never seen campus and asked if I could "pull strings" (yeah, right) and get him a look at Ford Stadium. Told him I believe practice is on today at 1600, to use southerncomfort's time method.

Am I right? If not, will the gate be open so we can take a look?

I thought there was no practice at all today (Letterman's golf tournament scheduled ... no idea if it can be played in this rain). Anyone know if I'm right on this?

GOING TO HAVE TO BRING HIM TO THE RED/BLUE GAME!

The forecast for Saturday looks absolutely beautiful. Mostly clear and 74. Nice day to watch a little football and eat a little bbq.

Of course I'll be there with kiddos in tow. Just talked to my buddy's father and he's going to modify his schedule and come to the game too. Looking forward to it. Thanks.

Anytime I have gone up to ford the gate has been open.
Last weekend I got to time my 16 month old son
in the Forty down on the turf.... I think he could have done better.

Hey Ponyboy, wish I were in Dallas. I would love to meet your friend who played at Miami (OH). It was my second choice next to SMU. I was recruited and offered a scholie by Ara Parseghian and later Johnny Pont. Great school. I visited there many many times to see football games.

GO PONIES!!!

Yeah, you two have a little in common. I'll ask him who he played for when I see him tomorrow.

They're right, no practice today, thank the Lord! Make sure you come early tomorrow to catch Bone Thugs at the DW Plaza. From what I can infer...red/blue is going to be kind of weak...just like practice + the 40 plays...I don't know about what yall but that isn't quite the 'game' I want...but that's what JJ wants!

Who cares? After reading PonyPride's updates, I'm even excited to see practice.
