Billy Packer

Postby SMUFan » Fri Apr 04, 2008 1:54 pm

USAToday is speculating (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnis ... cker_N.htm) that Billy Packer might quit. Nice story that says "he's a good analyst, he's a good guy, yada yada yada."

Somehow the story fails to mention why nobody can get Brent Musburger and [deleted] Enberg and Jack Ramsay to quit first.

Hooray! Hopefully he will take Bill Raftery with him.

Raftery and Packer are moderately annoying.
But they'll never hold a candle to Musberger and/or Enberg.

Raftery is greatness. Packer is wise, but so damn bitter
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Packer is known for being a jerk, but he isn't that bad. He is old.

"If UCLA could get the ball inside to Love" - I heard that about 45x today.
