Pick Memphis vs. Kansas

I know we have the other thread but for those of us who will watch, take a shot and explain your pick.

Memphis 74
Kansas 68

Memphis' guards CDR and Rose finish an amazing tournament run and combine for about 35 points. Dorsey goes for 10 and 10. Taggart comes off the bench for 7 and 9.

Kansas hasn't seen the athletes that Memphis has. Texas found out about the Memphis athletes and it wasnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t pretty. Early, Kansas gets flustered and Memphis puts the killer on them. Memphis plays great defense and will cause Kansas all kinds of trouble with the transition game. Memphis dominates the boards and their quickness cause Kansas more headaches than Goodies at a NASCAR event can handle.

Pesky FT troubles keep Memphis from breaking 100. In a moment of fairness, Derrick Rose fouls himself on a fast break to the basket since he is the only one to make it past half court by the time he goes to lay it in.

Should be a great game, but Rose will be the difference. IMO, he is a quicker, more athletic Chris Paul. I just wish the Mavs could somehow trade up to the #2 pick and get him. He's a special player.

I like Memphis to win the game- they really have looked amazing.

Dorsey, Dozier, Taggart will need to keep out of foul trouble bc Kansas is deep and athletic team in terms of big men. By attacking the basket and interior of Memphis's defense early, Kansas could weaken Memphis's interior D and rebounding.

Wouldn't surprise me. Either way, you're getting a terrific player in Rose or Beasley. I would take Rose #1.

Unfortunately, they would have to play tonight like they did in the 1st half of the UNC game the entire game. Not gonna happen.
