Good review on Whittington from a friend from the Cuero area who read that article and gave these thoughts. My buddy went to A&M.

"Yeah, my brother played against both of those guys and I have seen both of them play (the 2 guys in the article that was linked by Stallion). The kid SMU is getting is legit. I saw him play two years ago playing behind Latreal Cooper. He got his shot when Cooper went down with a knee injury ( while holding an A&M offer). I'm pretty sure Whittington won the district 100 m track and maybe went to state, the kid can fly.

On the other hand, I'm not a big fan of Aaron Buckley. I think he's way overrated and he wouldn't be on scholarship at A&M if the new coaching staff did the evaluations. Like the article said he was 3A defensive player of the year as voted on by the sports writers and wasn't even unanimous in the 3A district. He was Co-Defensive player for the district as voted on by the coaches."

Congratulations, Quincey - this is quite an honor.
Stay healthy, and be ready to run in August!

Quincy,
If you are reading this, at risk of injury, don't play in this game.
IMHO, it is a waste of time even if an honor, and you run a risk of getting hurt. There is no sense in it. Ask Zach Rhodes.
Just my opinion, but that's my take on it.

I am with OC on this. I hope Quincy sits that one out. It's not worth the risk.
