OT: Going To Castle Rock, CO On Business

Postby StallionsModelT » Tue Apr 08, 2008 9:46 am

I'm headed there starting next Monday for about two weeks. Anybody know of any good places to grab a beer or have a nice dinner? I really don't want to drive to Colorado Springs or Denver but if I have to I will. Thanks in advance

Sorry I can't offer any solutions. My only experience in Castle Rock was rock climbing, and I decided not to participate when I saw the rattlesnake warning signs. Ick.

a bit late, but there are some places in Castle Rock. Rockyard Brewing for good beers and decdent food. Brannagan's Irish House, Castle Rock Cafe, Duke's Steakhouse, Jimmy's, Union, Old Stone Church are good eats too.

You can make a quick trip[ up to Highlands Ranch, where there is a Rock Bottom and C.B. Potts. Both have good beers and good food.

I am away from home (Castle Rock) but I hope you enjoy our little town.

+1 on Rock Bottom...if you have any desire to spend time outside, this is a great area of Colorado to visit. Weather in mid spring is VERY unpredictable, dress warm in early am late pm.

If it was me, I'd go up into the hills and go to the Bucksnort Saloon.

What's that a euphemism for?

No euphemism. It's a real place: http://www.denverpost.com/bars/ci_3437178

Thanks for the suggestions guys. We're getting pounded with snow right now. The news expects 5 to 10 inches by tomorrow morning. Should make for an interesting day of work :)
