FREEDOM!!!!!

So hey, fellow pf-ers, my company had a round of layoffs yesterday, I was one of them.... This is a great thing, in one way, as it allows me much more time to work on my movie, but - I need to be cognoscente that my money runs out in a month and a half... so, with that said.... anybody know of any work in Austin?

Or heck, if somebody needs some editing or graphic design work, I'm available.

Your positive outlook during this time of economic trial is an inspiration. What is the subject matter of your motion picture?

It's all about Samurai and their struggle for suffrage in modern Japan. Care to invest? ;)

...

In all honesty..

The film is a European style art house picture heavily influenced by Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski (who emigrated to France late in his career) and Canadian director Atom Egoyan.

The film, entitled Josephine, is about a young woman coping with the sudden accidental death of her father. A father who's work kept him away for long stretches of time when she was young. This separation created a perceived, though subconscious, lack of love. This misguided anger and resentment boils to the surface after her father's death, and she takes her rage out on the men in her life in all manner of psychological, emotional , and sexual tortures. Josephine pushes her men away and gets what she wants, to be alone, and - of course - realizes it's exactly the opposite of what she truly wants.

There's not a hallmark hall of fame type bow on the picture, but in the end it's about her finding the love that she had for her father and in turn the love her father had for her.

.... but I can add Samurai if the price is right.

I'll definitely take a free beer on sixth street. And you'll have a futon with your name on it, I live a mere 2 miles from downtown.

Then we'll hit Sam's for the ramen... that's on you as well, right? ;)

Congratulations on your newly found, although involuntary, freedom. Best wishes in the hunt for a new gig.

Thanks man, and if you have any pull with the other Orisini, I'm available.... you know if he needs a coach for the competitive couch sitting squad.

And again.... if the price is right. Those Bay explosions cost a pretty penny, so you're dollars would have to be gorgeous.
