Not that Houston is the safest place, but this is the biggest reason why Houston gets the nod over Dallas......... Dallas is too freaking dangerous

13, likely 14 people murdered in two weeks???? That is insane.

Sorry, I've lived in both cities and I'll take Houston. Dallasites are way too full of themselves

I thought we were talking cities not people. Maybe the Dallas people feel the way they do because the finally moved out of Houston. Personally for me, Houston (the city) sucks.
I will add that it has been over 30 years since I have set foot in Houston. Hopefully I can double that figure before I die.

Shockingly myrdel is wrong again. Neither city is going to win any awards for best ever. This like comparing Ford vs Chevy. Both are losers.
Basketball--NBA titles--Rocektes 2, Mavs zero, zip, nada but they came close against Miami before completely collapsing
Baseball--World series appearances Astros 1, Rangers 0 with none in sight in any of our lifetimes
Football--Cowboys win but Landry aint here anymore so forget it.
Hockey--Yankee sport so who cares

Of course not everywhere can be that paradise known as College Station.
BTW Nacho, how was I wrong. I merely stated Houston sucked and backed up my feelings with my opinion. It seems you share that attitude also.

Having grown up in Houston I have very fond memories of my time there. That said I don't think I will ever move back but one never knows what the future may bring. I do like CS though.

Socio economic fact - it is statistically very safe in either city wherever college graduates live in large numbers. Unsafe where there are no college graduates.
Houston is a pit because they dont have zoning so the enitre town looks like a 13 year old boys bathroom. Dallasites are full of themselves because they have reason to be.
