Bushes Purchase Property in Preston Hollow
Reliable source confirms that the Bushes have bought a 1-acre lot in Preston Hollow in north Dallas. Small house currently sits on property. Most likely will be a 'tear down'.

No. The Secret Service agents will be stationed outside of the house - down the street - round-the-clock in unmarked vehicles.smu diamond m wrote:That's where the backup secret service will stay.
Don't they "supposedly" have a new house being built in HP?
There has been no official confirmation of the Bushes building a house in the Park Cities.
A real estate agent with Allie Beth Allman Realtors has reportedly sold the Bushes a 1-acre lot in Preston Hollow that already has a house on it.

I don't think 1 acre is going to cut it - might as well move into the Melrose. I would imagine the final deal would be for a 10-12 acre expanse - not in HP (obviously).MrMustang1965 wrote: A real estate agent with Allie Beth Allman Realtors has reportedly sold the Bushes a 1-acre lot in Preston Hollow that already has a house on it.
I keep thinking of the finite limit they've put on secret service protection for former Presidents. You'd have to think that would be a concern. I guess maybe private protection details will be hired at their own expense.MrMustang1965 wrote:No. The Secret Service agents will be stationed outside of the house - down the street - round-the-clock in unmarked vehicles.smu diamond m wrote:That's where the backup secret service will stay.

Considering how well president's seem to do after they leave office, fees for speaking engagements, memoirs, etc. I don't think it will be an issue. Plus, it isn't as though they were in the poor house before he entered office.RGV Pony wrote:I keep thinking of the finite limit they've put on secret service protection for former Presidents. On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

I'm not so much concerned about the financial impact as I am at the prospect of 10 or 20 trigger happy, hard-charging Blackwater types rolling around Northwest Highway and Central.abezontar wrote:Considering how well president's seem to do after they leave office, fees for speaking engagements, memoirs, etc. I don't think it will be an issue. Maybe we can convince them to drive a little too far west down NW Hwy or east of 75 and start slaughtering some crime.RGV Pony wrote: I'm not so much concerned about the financial impact as I am at the prospect of 10 or 20 trigger happy, hard-charging Blackwater types rolling around Northwest Highway and Central.

The *final deal* has reportedly already been made by the Allie Beth Allman realtor who sold them a 1-acre lot in Preston Hollow.Bergermeister wrote:I don't think 1 acre is going to cut it - might as well move into the Melrose. Perhaps a wedding gift to their daughter. Of course it was supposed to be a surprise, but now you've screwed that up. Way to go 65.MrMustang1965 wrote:The *final deal* has reportedly already been made by the Allie Beth Allman realtor who sold them a 1-acre lot in Preston Hollow.Bergermeister wrote:I don't think 1 acre is going to cut it - might as well move into the Melrose.
