SMU Mustang Affected by Arkansas Tornado

Just saw a woman wearing a blue SMU sweatshirt with the Mustang on it taking debris out of her (or a relative's) home in Arkansas on Ch. 5 (KXAS-TV) news. Not sure who she is. God bless her and her family & neighbors in the aftermath of the devastation. 7 people were killed and countless others injured.

This Pony has not been affected by the tornados. This is an unusual number of tornados for Arkansas. There have been several small towns hit by more than one tornado. There have been more deaths from tornados this year than any year since the warning system was put into place. Hopefully this season will end soon without another series of tornados.

My guess is that the TV station went out of its way to avoid showing people in Razorback regalia. Around here, nobody wants to be reminded of the disaster this fall will be for the beloved Razorbacks.

I think the official count is 10 tornados that hit last week with 8 dead. There are still homes here in Little Rock sitting under huge oak trees that fell on them a few weeks ago. Word is that Wednesday or Thursday there may be another round. Chances are good that the SMU sweatshirt was given to the person going through the damage since their belonging would ahve been damaged. No Arkie will give their Razorback items for others in need.
