Every quarterback should feel like he's deserving of the starting job. If he doesn't have that much confidence, chances are he won't be much of a quarterback.

It's Bo Levi Mitchell according to the article.

And he said that he wants compete for the starting job basically. The coaches actually said that they think he has the opportunity to win the starting job. So he is preparing for the competition and not just arrogantly saying that he thinks he can win the job.
