Reports on The Ticket this morning indicate the University of North Texas football program will have 5 scholarships revoked due to poor graduation rates. But hey, we will all regret the day we passed on the great high school hero Southlake Dodge!
Back off Warchild seriously.

I am pretty sure that the 5 scholarships lost are not due to the poor graduation rate from Dodge's one year as a headcoach there. I imagine this has a lot to do with a trend that was there long before he arrived.

I would have to agree with that. Hopefully he is taking measures to get things straightened out. He will turn UNT around.

This should not come as a surprise, you have to be a dummy to want to go to NTSU.
Exhibit A: Look at all the the braniac alums who still believe they are in a weak@ss conference because little ole SMU blackballed them from all of the better ones they were about to get invited to....

That's a myth of epic proportions. If NTSU had the merits to get a better offer over the last twenty years, SMU sure did not have the merits to prevent it.

The APR is a four-year look at graduation rates culminating with the 2006-07 academic year.
As it turns out, none of the years included in this evaluation were during Dodge's tenure....

I hate to pull rank, but I was at 3/4ths of those meetings - boy did I have a good laugh every time they got the thumbs down.
And out of all the posters to not get sarcasm.....sad way for me to start the day.

Please do not take away my guiltiest pleasure for slighting NTSUers, the play on their lack of merit to get to the next level conference.

I heard the conspiracy was hatched in the parking lot of Safeway's corporate offices.

What business did anyone with a "degree" from NTSU have at a corporate office?
