I refuse to shop at Academy anymore for that very reason. And ditto for the PGA Superstore. They have golf gear for schools/teams that couldn't possibly have an alum within 100 miles of here.

I have two golf shirts and a Cutter & Buck pullover w/ SMU logos from the PGA Superstore in Frisco.

The SMU Alumni Band will be performing at the Richardson Wildflower Festival on Saturday, May 17.

They will perform at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00.

Hi Guys - In regards to merchandise at stores:::

It’s simply demand and the store must purchase SMU gear through a licensed vendor. SMU is not keeping a tight leash on its logo but it must be licensed through CLC (collegiate licensing company).

So I encourage each of you to ask your local store that you would like to see SMU merchandise in the store. The more demand we have, the more the buyers are willing to stock the merchandise.

I was at PGA Superstore in Frisco twice in the last two weeks and did not see any SMU gear. They had all the Big 12 teams and all the other BCS conference teams. They had TCU and North Texas stuff (understandable). Then they had stuff for East Carolina, Central Florida, Tulsa, UTEP, Utah, Boise State, and all other sorts of mid-majors. They even had Texas State. They had notthing for SMU.

I was scratching my head at that one. Really, is there a high demand for East Carolina merchandise in the metroplex??

June Jones gave a very impressive talk at the Richardson COC luncheon today. My wife (BornRed&Blue) and I attended and sat at BUS's table. (Thanks, George!) Steve Orsini was also in attendance to introduce JJ. Many of the attendees left very enlightened about JJ and what he's doing for SMU football. More converts! The Mustang Bandwagon is starting to roll! ;)

I was SUPER impressed by the talk June Jones gave and the Chamber luncheon. He made the talk more about people and growth than X's and O's. When making good men the pay off for that is winning.

He shared about his life, past and present... the lessons that he has learned the experiences that he went through and where he is now. He also stated where SMU is now and the growth path for the team.

After the lunch I had two people come to me and tell me they joined the Mustang Club and purchased tickets for the first time in YEARS.

Come see the Wildflower Feastival next weekend. ITS A BLAST.

PLUG: My daughter is a singer and will be performing at the Festival in the Budding Talent Competition.

Yes, she even has a stage name. Yipeee..

Peace be with you.
