im not being a rude mean UNT fan, and im not making fun of SMU....but it seems here that everyone is putting down UNT(and thats what its called now, you can stop calling it NTSU) yet it take only a 2.0 min GPA to graduate from SMU while it takes a 2.7 GPA to graduate from UNT...and also...i bet our classes are alot tougher...we have better professors!
Pahahaha! Go look where SMU and your beloved "NTSU" are located on the US News & World Report rankings. SMU is 67th in the nation. Where's NTSU? Hmm.... Let's see... It's a fourth tier school! Now, you can argue the subjectivity of those rankings, but that big of a disparity is hard to argue with regardless of subjectivity or not.
That aside, UNT classes are not harder than SMU classes and the professors surely aren't better. You're lying to yourself if you think otherwise.
I had a few friends from back in East Texas who didn't get into Texas A&M-Commerce but got into North Texas. That's all I need to know about that place. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?! A&M-COMMERCE?!?!!!

I have a friend at NTSU that just finished a 3000 level psychology class - during the course of the last semester he had two projects they completed in class involving glue sticks, construction paper, and newspaper clippings.
If I'm not mistaken, I completed a similar class in 1st grade. Maybe that's why you have to finish with a 2.7 GPA...those high 4th-tier national university standards!
Keep working at those academics; maybe one day you guys can pull past A&M Commerce or Midwestern State.

What a laugh, everytime they imply how easy it is to graduate from UNT.
GPA requirement for SMU graduation: 2.0
GPA requirement for UNT graduation: 2.7
And they think they are amoungst the business elite of Dallas...what a joke. In just a few short months UNT will own the downtown Universities Center at Dallas and a downtown UNT Law School that will add to already existing South Dallas UNT campus. Then there's the little thing in Fort Worth SMU doesn't have either, a MEDICAL SCHOOL! Soon, UNT will be the business elite of Dallas, Denton and Fort Worth, no thinking about it!!
I will personally stop trying to slander SMUt (sorry just one more jab there) because UNT has it going on. We need only to recognize our academic and athletic excellence for elevation amoungst universities and colleges across the country.
Oh, football....yeah, at least we didn't get the death penalty.
