Colt Knost won in a come from behind final round of 65 at the Nationwide tourney in Ft. Smith this weekend. He pockets $99,000. I still personally wish he had waited until after the Masters to go pro, but he openly states that this justifies his decision to turn pro earlier. Either way. congratulations to another Pony who shows winning in Arkansas is a given.

I still ask what was he supposed to do until the US Open was over? Sell insurance?

Yes
I was referring only to the Masters. The Open qualifying is easier. How many SMU grads go on European vacations, or visit Mexico for 6 or 3 months after graduation? He could still have easily played in this Nationwide event after the Masters. His choice and he is happy so I have no problem. I selfishly just would have like to have seen him in the Masters this year.

Way to go Colt! Awesome day yesterday! The 23 putts for the final round is not bad either.

I haven't followed SMU golf much, and didn't realize Colt went there.
Another feather in the cap of SMU fans everywhere.

Hopefully but he will need much more than a Nationwide win.

I really appreciate his ambition. His goal isn't to play in the Masters once, he wants to be there on a consistent basis and challenge for the win!

Well of course, but if there is a chance you may not get to marry the woman of your dreams, would you not like to at least spend one night with her, or would you pass up that chance just so you could propose to her year after year?
If he had played this year, it does not prohit him from playing every year thereafter. And had he done well enough, he could have earned an auto into next year. He is happy with his decision, so I am happy for him, but again, I selfishly wish he had chosen to play this year and then turned pro. He did win last week on Nationwide but he found out this week that last place is not far away from first.
